High Alert: Wear a Mask Indoors
The Alert Level in New York City has been raised to High.
The NYC Health Commissioner now advises all New Yorkers to wear a mask in any public indoor setting. People who are older than 65 or otherwise at a high risk of severe illness from COVID-19 should also wear a mask in crowded outdoor settings and avoid gatherings when possible.
These heightened precautions will help slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep more New Yorkers out of the hospital while community spread of COVID-19 remains high.
We ask that you wear a mask in all public indoor areas of our building
for the health and safety of everyone.
We have people of all ages and health backgrounds in our building and wearing a mask inside helps us all stay safe and minimizes the spread of Covid. If you test positive, please stay home and stay safe and if you feel comfortable, alert the board or management so we can be aware of the health of our community and support you as needed. You can obtain rapid tests free from our local libraries. If you suspect infection, please reach out and a neighbor can assist you in getting a test or groceries if you do not feel well.
At this time, follow these prevention tips:
✅ Consider avoiding higher-risk activities (such as crowded indoor get-togethers).
✅ Wear a face mask in ALL public indoor settings and crowded outdoor spaces.
✅ Limit get-togethers to small numbers of people.
✅ Stay up to date: get vaccinated and boosted.
✅ Get tested if you have symptoms, were exposed, traveled, or were at a large event.
✅ Stay home if sick or recently exposed.
