Autumn is Here!

With the fall weather comes our transition from cooling to heating our homes.

COOLING

If you remove and install your window air conditioner unit seasonally, please hire a licensed professional to help with it's removal this fall for the safety of yourself and those below on the street or courtyard.

Air conditioner units should only be stored in the AC room designated with red shelving. The door can be found between our compost and recycling bins. No other room should be used for this purpose. If you have additional items (foam, plexiglass, etc), they should be stored in your apartment or storage cage.

HEATING

Please leave your radiator valve either fully open or fully closed if in between those two settings, the radiator can be prone to leaks. We advise checking your radiators before they turn on to avoid any burn injuries. Please be on the lookout for any leaks for your own floor and stay cognizant for their affect on your neighbors below. Heating is provided after October 1st when temperatures fall below 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Feel free to inquire with Granit for a radiator check.

EXTERMINATOR SERVICES

As a reminder, seasonal transitions sometimes lead to a few pests so be on the lookout for the exterminator signup sheets. We provide the service on a bimonthly basis: the 1st Wednesday and 3rd Saturday of every month. They will give a knock on your door and a quick pass in the critical areas like kitchens and bathrooms or as you request.

Happy First Day of Autumn!
